enough. That night the priest who organized the attack had a visitor. He reported that an angel appeared to him and said, "I am Gabriel, and I have come to tell you to stop fighting these people." One ringleader became in sane before the night ended, and another one died in agony.
"\^ile death and sorrow came to their opponents, life reigned among the people of God. Adefris and Mestawet had only one child. A mule kicked the boy in the head, crushing his skull until his brain ruptured on one side. He died immediately, and many came to the funeral. Mestawet took the body in her arms and called on the Lord Jesus to raise him from the dead. Life returned and he became normal and well. A deep scar on his head will witness as long as he lives of the miracle Godperformed.
Through all of these things, the Lord added new souls to the church. In 1984, the administrator of the district decided to take matters in his own hand. He gave the peo ple of Chole the right to rob, beat, and kill the Apostolics and burn their homes. He advertised this for many days, but the citizens of Chole had had enough. They refused to lift a finger against the church. This infuriated him, so he put the three leading men of the church in jail. On the third night he saw an angel of enormous stature and with a stern face standing before him. Few men have been so thankful to see the light of another day. He hurried to the prison, humbly apologized to the men, and released them. The church continues to march from victory to vic tory in Chole.
Later in 1974, Dejenne took charge of the churches in the Nazareth area and rented a house for seventy birr for services in the town.
