Page 26 - Emperor Constantine Enforcer of the Trinity Doctrine
P. 26
Origin of Triads and Trinities by John Newton pages 20-21, 25-27. In speaking of ancient Egypt, Newton quotes Professor Sayce (Gifford Lectures and Hibbert Lectures) as follows: “The indebtedness of Christian [Catholic] Theological theory to ancient Egyptian dogma is no where more striking than in the doctrine of the Trinity. The very same terms used of it by Christian Theologians meet us again in the inscriptions and papyri of Pagan Egypt.”
Newton continues: “And now we see some meaning in the strange phrases that have puzzled so many generations in the Nicene and Athanasian Creeds, such as “Light of Light, Very God of Very God, Begotten not made, Being of one Substance with the Father.” These are all understandable enough if translated into the language of the Solar Trinity (ancient Egyptian, Persian and Babylonian Paganism), but without this clue to they’re meaning, they become sheer nonsense or contradictions...The simplicity and symmetry of the old Sun Trinities were utterly lost in forming the new [Catholic] Christian Creeds on the old Pagan models... The [Pagan] Trinities had the prestige of past antiquity and universal adoption, and could not be ignored. The [Pagan] Gentile converts therefore eagerly accepted the Trinity compromise, and the [Catholic] Church baptized it. Now at length we know its origin.”
Even the very symbol the cross and the Chi-Rho chosen by Emperor Constantine is nothing more than an ancient pagan sun god time god and sky god symbol! This ancient pre-Christian symbol also symbolizes the pagan solar trinity.
About.com: Alternative Religions Chi-Rho “As a pre-Christian symbol, the Chi-rho signified good fortune. The chi-rho became an important Christian symbol when adopted by the Roman Emperor Constantine... Before it became the monogram of Christ, the chi-rho was the monogram of Chronos, the god of time, and an emblem of several solar deities.”
The Solar Trinity Of Constantine
Below we see Latin crosses with solar pagan trinity symbols. First at lower left a sun god image is in the heart of the cross. Next we see a trinity triangle with the eye of Mithra, Osiris, Amen- Ra, Lucifer, take your pick of names for the sun god. Note the sun rays shineing from the triangle. The next three crosses are different versions of the pagan sun god “Chi-Rho” symbol. Constantine had no problem in using and promoting these idol sun god symbols after all that was the real divinity that he served. Note ancient pagan priests would also mark these symbols (using ashes, oil, wine, water, or blood) upon the forheads of those who were being initiated into the mysteries. Pastors please take note if you have the “Chi-Rho” displayed in your Church it symbolizes the pagan solar Trinity the sun god! It has nothing to do with Jesus Christ.
