TIM Ictontity of Jesut Christ
And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said. Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you" (Exodus 3:1-6, 13-14).
The angel who spoke to Moses was visible and had a distinct figure. God manifested Himself to Moses and spoke to Moses through the angel. Moses did not actually see the Spirit of God Him self. for no one has ever seen God (John 1:18).
God later promised to send an angel to lead the Israelites, and He invested His name in the an gel: "Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared. Beware of him, and obey his voice, provoke him not; for he will not pardon your transgressions: for my name is in him" (Exodus 23:20-21). The invisible God used the angel to guide the Israelites. (See also Gene sis 18-19; Judges 13.)
The archangel Michael is the angel who stands watch over the people of Israel, and he will help deliver them in the day of tribulation (Daniel 12:1). Followers of Charles Russell and of Ellen G. White teach that Christ is Michael before or after His birth from Mary. However, no scriptural evi dence can be found in either the Old or New T es tament to support this theory. We only find that the Word was made flesh, not that an angel was clothed in or made flesh.
