Items of note about the formation of the current Seeger Memorial High School
1. Seeger Memorial was initially opened in 1959 as a renaming of West Lebanon H.S. A local businessman, Ura
Seeger, had donated $250,000 toward the building of the new school. The mascot/nickname was the “Indians” &
the school colors were Red & Gray.
2. For the 1973-74 school year, the 3 Warren County schools (Pine Village, Seeger Memorial, & Williamsport)
were combined and kept the name “Seeger Memorial.” The mascot/nickname was changed to the “Patriots” &
the school colors were also changed to Red, Navy Blue, & White.
3. Seeger plays their home boys basketball games at the Williamsport Gym, which is housed in the Williamsport
Elementary School. The girls basketball games are played at Seeger H.S.
