In December 2016, the New Mexico Economic Develop-
ment Department’s Job Training Incentive Program (JTIP)
board approved $642,460 in funding to create 45 jobs
with two New Mexico companies in Sandoval County:
Amfabsteel, Inc., a design-build structural steel fabrica-
tor in Bernalillo $608,868 for 46 jobs; and
Safelite Solutions, LLC, an auto glass specialist in Rio
Rancho, $33,592 for two jobs (an amendment to a previ-
ous application).
Safelite AutoGlass now houses a customer contact center
in the building formerly occupied by Sprint. The company
plans for approximately 900 full and part-time jobs in
insurance and claims processing and customer scheduling
over a three-to-four year period. The starting wage for
these jobs is $11 to $13.
El Segundo, Calif.-based PCM arrived in Rio Rancho late in
2016. The technology solutions provider employs 224
people in sales positions with annual salaries ranging
between $45,000 and $65,000.
National clothing retailer Macy’s announced closure of
100 of its 870 stores in the next few years, including the
Macy’s in Cottonwood Mall in 2017. 56 people were
employed at this Macy’s location.
Club Rio Rancho, the 27-hole golf course in Rio Rancho,
was closed in early 2017. Club Rio Rancho employed 50 to
99 people.
