The Procedure:

The All-On-4 (Teeth in a day) protocol is considered to be a graftless solution therefore avoiding the
long and costly road of rebuilding bone when conventionally oriented implants are used. For the im-
plementation to be successful, a careful analysis of the bone structure needs to be made. The most
ideal way to evaluate the bone is by a CBCT scan - Cone beam computed tomography (or CBCT, also
referred to as CT scan is a medical imaging technique consisting of X-ray computed tomography
where the X-rays are divergent, forming a cone) .

The All-On-4 protocol is for at least 4 implants to be placed in a jaw. The back implants are typically
angled approximately 30 to 45 degrees from the biting plane. The implant is placed in front of the
maxillary sinus in the upper jaw (maxilla) and in front of the mental nerve in the lower jaw (mandible).
The head of the implant emerges in approximately the second premolar position. This will allow a
molar tooth to be cantilevered posterior resulting in a denture or bridge with approximately 12 teeth.

The All-on-4 treatment concept owes its name to the very nature of the method, which consists of
applying a dental prosthesis with at least twelve teeth (bridge) fixed in the jaw, based only on four
titanium implants. The timeframe for an implant is approx. 4 – 6 months depending on your assess-
ment and a more precise timeframe will be provided after assessment.

         Cost:
Implant assessment costs €75.00 to ensure your suitability or not for the procedure. The guide cost

per implant is in the region of €2000 per implant. Other charges may be applied if a more complex
procedure to place the implant is needed (e.g. sinus lift) or if a specialised implant (e.g. implant re-
tained denture) is needed. However each implant case can differ and so cost will be assessed on a
case by case basis following clinical assessment. Subject to assessment, we can offer a fully restored
implant at a highly competitive price of €2,000.

         Maintenance
After placement, implants need to be cleaned (similar to natural teeth) with a Teflon instrument to

remove any plaque. Implant-supported teeth look and function just like real teeth, and are main-
tained with the same oral hygiene practices, such as brushing and flossing. Because of the more pre-
carious blood supply to the gingiva, care should be taken with dental floss. Implants will lose bone at
a rate similar to natural teeth in the mouth (if someone suffers from periodontal disease, an implant
can be affected by a similar disorder) but will otherwise last. Depending on the type of attachment,
connections need to be changed or refreshed every one to two years. A powered irrigator may also

be useful for cleaning around implants.

We are happy to arrange local complimentary accommodation for you in the Newgrange Hotel,
Navan on the night before or after your implant placement. Please let us know in advance of your ap-
pointment if you wish to avail of this. They cannot be credited after treatment.
