Alternator Upgrade Kits ETC5835K
Electronic conversion kit replaces the existing points and
condenser with a new reliable electronic module. For
DA1195 4-cylinder petrol engines the electronic ignition module
has been developed to work with the standard ignition
coil and provides service free and accurate ignition timing.
The kit can be easily fitted to standard points type 45D4
distributors. We recommend fitting a new coil at the same
time - PRC9858. Also available a new distributor with
points to which this kit can be fitted - ETC5835.

This electronic conversion kit is for V8 points and has built
in dwell adjustment with rpm protection when not running.

leave it on, this timing will now remain constant till you
set another timing the same way or turn off the ignition
at which point the relay reverts to a standard 6 second
wipe interval. Another bonus is that the wipers will

fluid or 3 times after a long burst. This will work on
all Defenders with the latching intermittent wiper
stalk PRC7370 or AMR6106 HA onwards (stays down
when pressed) but it will also work on 300Tdi and
