Migration is one of the effects of globalization. People migrate to more developed
countries in order to have a better life. There are two main factors why people decide to
migrate: pull and push factors.
1. Sometimes people must leave their hometown because of danger or money,
which is called pull factors:
a) crop failure
b) natural disasters: drought and flooding
c) war
2. People choose to migrate in order to have a better life with better
conditions, which is called push factors
a) Higher employment
b) Better services
c) Safety, less crime
