Dear credit union member:
Along with many other businesses, we have faced some challenges due to the Coronavirus pandemic. As an essential business, we felt that it was important to remain ready and available to serve your financial needs during the crisis. At the onset of the pandemic, our team moved quickly to ensure that member service was provided as seamlessly as possible. We were able to do that with minimal service interruptions while following social distancing guidelines.
While the situation continues to evolve, my confidence in the strength and
compassion of the entire Peach State team is stronger than ever. From the leadership of our executive team and especially our branch staff who help our members each day, I am grateful to
each one of them for their commitment.
To adapt to the rapidly changing needs of our members, we helped many “Skip-A-Pay” on their loan payments if they were experiencing financial hardship. We also waived or refunded more than $33,000 in fees for members who needed some financial relief. And, we were able to assist 100 small businesses with more than $4 million in Paycheck Protection Program loans from the Small Business Administration.
The pandemic also impacted the plans we had for our in-person 58th Annual Meeting. So, on the evening of Tuesday, April 21st we held a virtual meeting thanks to the magic of technology. We provided an update on the credit union’s past year and answered questions about our response to the pandemic. Thank you to the members who joined us and submitted questions via text and email. We hope to be able to be together for our 59th Annual Meeting next year. (See page 3 for a recap of the meeting.)
The conditions of the pandemic may have changed the way that you banked with us. Many of you utilized our online and mobile options for managing your Peach State accounts. We strongly encourage you to continue to use these options whenever possible to reduce the risk to your health and the health of others. You can find more information about these services on the back page of this newsletter. Or, visit our website to learn about all of our online and digital options. You can even get a loan from the comfort of home!
As we continue to work through this situation along with you, we look forward to a return to normal daily life. Until then, please let us know how we can assist you during these complicated times. We’re here to help.
Be safe!
