GFA: New Courses = New Pathways to Certification beginning Fall 2021
GFA Film and Television Production Certification
GFA Film and Television Post-Production Certification
GFA Digital Entertainment, ESports, & Game Development Certification
Each certification requires its own introductory course, plus 2 authorized craft courses. The courses are not transferable among the pathways. What does this means for you? Please decide, from the start, which pathway you wish to follow. Always, you may change your mind. However, you will have to complete the required introductory class for your new path. Please refer to the chart below. This information is for continuing education students only.

GFA 1040: Intro to Film & Television Post-Production
GFA 1500: Introduction to Digital Entertainment, Esports & Game Development
(begins fall 2021)

Production Certification
GFA 2010: Set Construction & Scenic Design
GFA 2020: Lighting & Electric
GFA 2030: Grip & Rigging GFA 2050: Intro to Special
Makeup Effects
GFA 2060: Intro to Production Accounting & Office Management
Any other GFA 2000 production course
Post-Production Certification
GFA 2040: Fundamentals of AVID Media Composer 100
GFA 2140: Fundaments of Sound Design, AVID ProTools 100
Either AVID course above not taken.
Digital Entertainment, Esports & Game Development Certification
GFA 2510: Event Management for Digital Entertainment & Esports (begins spring 2022)
GFA 2520: Hosting & Casting for Digital Entertainment & Esports
(begins spring 2022)
Either Esports course above not taken.
