Hopper certainly deserves a place in this list of best places for coffee in Rotterdam, because Hopper’s award winning coffee is definite- ly worth a try. There are so many different ways of drinking your coffee here, and they are all made from ‘honest’ beans. Hopper is located on the Schiedamse Vest and is an amazing, light space with big windows.
ALOHA.
Located in BlueCity, Aloha is an experience in itself both inside and out on the terrace. In BlueCity everything is circular, including the coffee from the Aloha bar. This means that everything is re-used, inclu-
ding waste. For example, an iced tea is made from the skin of the coffee beans and the coffee grounds go to RotterZwam to grow mushrooms. The coffee is carefully selected and roasted by Aloha herself.
HEILIGE BOONTJES.
The unique concept of Heilige Boontjes is a reason in itself to buy your black gold here: they help underprivileged young people to reintegrate into society. Their coffee also just happens to be one of the best in Rotterdam. Heilige Boontjes is located in an old police station on the Eendrachtsplein. The atmosphere is friendly, the location is good, the coffee is great.
