I, Rtr. Chinmayee Kelkar President of RC Thane Midtown am very happy to announce that we have completed
the 7th year of our annual project called "The White Revolution".

It's a project that all the Rotaractors as a youth do every year on the day of Mahashivratri. The project is
initiated by RCMMS(RC of Mulund Mumbai ..)

It's a project we do to show our sincere gratitude towards the environment as well as the mankind.
At early morning on Mahashivratri (4am), we go in groups to temples in our areas wearing white clothes. We make an
announcement for the people standing in the que and we approach people individually and ask them to give some of the
milk that they are going to pour on the shivling to us. We collect as much milk as those people willingly give us, we
process it and add flavours to the milk and then distribute it amongst the poor. The satisfaction that we experience after
seeing the smile on the faces of those poor kids is priceless. It's one of my favorite projects for sure.

This is on Mahashivratri, that is on 21st Feb 2020, our club (RCTM) along with many other clubs from our zone
and the whole district contributed in the same project. We went to the kopineshwar temple in Thane at 4 am and till 10 am
we collected more than 150 litres of milk. People's response was fantastic, they willingly gave us most of the milk they
were carrying and kept only a small amount just to show their worship towards the god. We boiled that milk and added
chocolate and strawberry flavours to it and distributed it to the poor children in the slums of Thane and Kalwa. The
purpose behind doing this activity is, hundreds and thousands of litres of milk is wasted each year on Mahashivratri as it is
just poured on the shivling. In our country where the poverty is so prevalent we thought of feeding the children of poor just
for a day atleast and save as much as milk we can.

This year was the first year for our club to participate in this beautiful project and my first year as a president.
From my experience there, I observed that people actually know what harm or good they are doing to the nature or mankind, it's just that no one stands up and says what is wrong and how it can be
improved. My appeal to you all would be, before doing any act just think for a little bit if that will cause any harm to environment or living forms and if you feel it will, just take a stand yourself
and modify your activity in such a way that it will reduce or eliminate the harm to any living or non-living things. I think that much we all can do by our own.

committed to Leadership, Integrity and main Fellowship by covering the motto Service Above Self.

As you know first day of Feb. begins with "DISCON 2020",Anant Drishti.... Infinite vision of doing good under the leadership of DG Dr.Mohan

Chandavarkar,held at the CIDCO convention center,Navi Mumbai,was attended by more than 800 delegates.

I participated in National Anthem performed a deaf n mute sign language version. As a RCTMT Smart President Happy to inform Rotary skit-Three idiots,an award

winning skit was performed to perfection,i acted in the prestigious key role of Chatur who explored the role of the Rotary.It was a full comedy drama enjoyed by the audience.
Visit to Centennial summit was out of this world for me in my ROTARY life of 20 years. To attend an International Rotary conference was FIRST TIME IN LIFE for me.

I was overwhelmed, when I met MRAK MALONEY and his wife GAY. I invited them to our club and also exchanged the flag and gave a small memento on the behalf of our club. I

am sure he and his wife will remember our club all the time. It was very happy to note that I was ONLY CLUB PRESIDENT who could exchange the FLAG with the sitting RI

President.

The Third important celebration on 24thFeb. was handing over a charter & installation of Rotaract President & their club officials for the year 2019-20 at the hands of DG

Dr.Mohan Chandavarkar.The name of New Club is "Rotaract club of Krishi Tantr Niketan khanivalli.

Another feather-in-cap was the news from TRF that our 1 ever GLOBAL GRANT approved and we were trusted to carry out the Service project of Donating Dialysis

machines to charitable Hospital to serve the community.

We also celebrated Marathi Bhasha Din and we also did one project with Interactors of Shriram Vidyalay. On 24th a joint project with Interact school of Shriram Vidyalay
took place where student's were taught how to make handicrafts,they made items like flags, flowers, bags etc.They are going to sell it in open market to fulfill their basic needs in

school like water filters etc.and few amount for donation for eradication of Polio. On 27th "Marathi Bhasha Din" program was concluded with colourful procession with approx. 500

students in the nearby area was the talk of the town.

The most important day ie 26th Feb.The charter day of RCTMT. I am lucky enough to be able to be with Chartered President Nanubhai Mehta for celebration by cutting

the cake with chartered member Milind Ballal and few Past Presidents.

Thanks to all members that our club service is focusing on making our club strong.A thriving club is anchored by strong relationship of active membership development
plan,as I believed that Rotary Connects The World
