All human beings are Ardha-nari-nareshwars - partly man & partly woman, anatomically & physiologically. Thus,
we already have both sets of attributes though in different quantities. As Rotarians, we have to kindle the spark within, & make
these qualities jagrut. Rotary can be a religion without being ritualistic & clannish - like Hinduism, more a way of life. Our clubs
are our temples, & our service - offerings to the Almighty - but preferably given & done unattached & Niswartha.
To that our founder Paul Harris has added an important virtue - Tolerance. This virtue also has the aspect of being
non-judgmental. We are all volunteers & equals in this journey. We are democratic. So we know that there can be other points of
view & they may be right too. But tolerance needs another input & that is capping the ego.
Can we do it? Can we progress in life & claim that every passing year as a Rotarian we have developed into better
human beings? That would be truly smart! Lets be that difference, that . . . Unness Beeska Farak !
