Twenty five years after They came to invade Cole was the last known Member of the Northfield raid
So Minnesota said Cole We’ll give freedom to you But to one promise You must remain true
Cole you can get out And freely go your way If you’ll promise not to Put yourself on display
Yes we’ll let you out But you must understand History has made you A famous man
Promise not to exploit Your outlaw past And you can leave this Prison at last
Cole kept his promise History does record He displayed not himself But he displayed the Lord
For Cole knew the principle From the prince of peace
I must decrease
So He can increase
