My covenant brought You to where you are Through many a fight Through many a war
Oh America
You have won My heart Because you honored Me from the start
I have given grace Through covenant yields That gave victory
On your battlefields
I gave salvation
To your fallen dead
I Jesus Christ
Have done what I said
In distant wars
Far and way off American prayers Will always pay off
As a nation
Our covenant's true So keep on praying And I'll honor you
