The lost generation
They've been called it's true But Lord Jesus they were Never, lost to You
World War Two songs Bare revelation
Of the heart and times Of a generation
The haunting "Danny Boy" "Under The Apple Tree"
"The White Cliffs Of Dover" Among the many
But battles and wars Are embraced within Midway, Iwo Jima D-Day to Berlin
These songs were sung through Heaviness and tears
And Jesus used them
To comfort their fears
