Black and White
White has the impression of good, sunny, nihility and super ciality, and black has the meaning of bad, declining, deep and profound.
For example, Japanese describe “whites 素人” who is completely unprofessiona.
Relative to experts or to speci c leaders, those who have expertise in the eld are represented by “blacks 玄人”.
黑/玄 Black
People usually wear black clothes at funerals in Japan for fear of being noticed by ghosts. Hide yourself by borrowing black.
At weddings, people wear black clothes to highlight the bride
- only the bride can wear white clothes to appear bright and clean.
e special is : black crow means good luck in Japan.
Crow means Mourning apparel Black also means textured. LUCKY in Japan.
