Mike Tait, Festival Producer Discovery Film Festival Dundee UK (Schottland) (Scotland)
Mike Tait ist Festival Producer des internationalen Filmfestivals für junges Publikum Discovery
Film Festival. Sein Ziel ist es, hochqualitative Produktionen für Kinder und Jugendliche zu
fördern. Er koordiniert außerdem die DYAs, eine Gruppe von Jugendlichen, die als „Nachwuchs-
Programmdirektoren“ für das Festival fungieren. Darüber hinaus engagiert sich Tait für
Filmerziehung in Schulen.
Mike Tait is Festival Producer of the Discovery Film Festival, an international film festival for young
audiences. He is functioning as a promoter for high-quality productions for children and youth. He’s
also the coordinator of the DYAs, a group of youths who act as young programmers for the festival.
Besides, he also promotes film education in schools.

Maria-Christina Villaseñor beaufsichtigt für das Internationale Kinderfilmfestival New York die Pro-
zesse der Recherche, Auswahl und Programmzusammenstellung. Sie entwickelt die Programme
für das Industry Forum und leitet die Filmauswahl für die Sektion „FilmEd Classroom“ und für die
Filmtouren. Zu einer ihrer früheren Lebensstationen gehörte die Tätigkeit als Associate Curator of
Film and Media Arts am Guggenheim Museum.
Maria-Christina Villaseñor oversees the film research, selection and curation process for the New
York International Children’s Film Festival; programming of the Industry Forum, and guides the film
selections for FilmEd Classroom and Touring programs. Her previous posts include serving as Asso-
ciate Curator of Film and Media Arts at the Guggenheim Museum.

Alejandra Fritis Zapata ist Gründerin und Leiterin des Internationalen Filmfestivals für Kinder und
Jugend in Valparaíso „Ojo de Pescado“ (Das Fischauge). Sie ist Producerin, Dokumentarfilmre-
gisseurin, Spezialistin für Kinoinhalte für Kinder und Jugendliche und Lehrerin für audiovisuelle
Inhalte. Sie unterrichtet Filmregie für Kinder, Jugendliche und diverse Interessenten. Außerdem
gründete und leitet sie Zapata das internationale Seminar „The childhood wants cinema“.
Alejandra Fritis Zapata is foundress and director of “Ojo de Pescado” (The Fish Eye) International
Film Festival of Children and Youth from Valparaíso. She is a producer, documentary filmmaker,
specialist in children and young audiences’ cinema contents, and teacher of audiovisual literacy.
She teaches filmmaking for children, youth and diverse communities. She is also the foundress and
head of the international seminar “The childhood wants cinema”.
