he knew the future of the boy. It happened that the boy later committed suicide and the girl was saved from that marriage. Later, the father of that girl arranged a meeting between her and myself. I agreed to marry her in the very first meeting. She was also impressed with me and wanted to marry me against her mother’s wishes. My father suggested that I should reconsider the decision. I was adamant on my decision and previous declaration to marry the first girl I see in the arranged meetings. My father also tried to explain to me through another student of his, Mr. Natu, who was extremely spiritual and an advanced practitioner of spirituality. Mr. Natu had to travel a long distance to visit our home that day. On seeing that I was adamant on my decision, my father indicated that I had to reap the consequences and I foolishly nodded positively. My marriage lasted for 24 years, but it was filled with many painful incidences, mostly due to my follies and mistakes. That means, I am not blaming others for the pain I had to bear. I had a wonderful marriage in many other ways. My father never blamed me for this in his entire life. In fact, he always inspired me to be as good and happy as possible.
My father’s financial condition was very poor throughout my educational life. But, he always encouraged me to study well and he told me that education is the key for me to come out of the financial suffering and also to succeed in Yoga. He never suggested that I should study only to get a job and start earning for the family. My ambitions were very high and I started getting scholarships from grade 9 and I continued to get full scholarships until I completed the Master’s degree. The amount of scholarships I received was, at times,more than my expenses and I used to give all the leftover money to my father, though it was not a very large amount. My father used to smile when I did so and I knew exactly what his smile meant. It meant that I would get several times more than what
