I gave to him. I got thousands of times more as a matter of fact! My financial standard of living became hundreds of times higher than that of my parental family. When this fact came to my mind for the first time, I was in the USA, my father had passed away already, and I went through a short period of suffering agony. I would like to disclose some of the events during my educational life that clearly establish my father’s spirituality and also yogic powers. I am disclosing many of these events for the first time, even to my own family.
Since my early childhood, I was exposed to and became interested in Spirituality and Yoga. There was no need for me to go to any Yoga class as I felt the practice was totally visible at home on a daily basis. My father’s influence, stories about his Guru and associated personalities, mainly from my mother, had built a strong belief system. But, also there were experiences that stabilized this belief. And, I think that is the key to my practice and progress in Yoga and Spirituality, whatever that is.
During my childhood, there were many Kirtan programs, Bhajan programs and Arati prayers that I had opportunity to attend. These created an intention of spirituality and especially love for chanting and memorization that became part of my Yogic practice. I remember my mother singing while making the Roti bread almost daily during my school days, and while serving me the hot bread. I could consume any amount of food that was served by her without feeling heavy. I never wasted any food and due to this, I was blessed by my father with never going hungry in my life.
I remember my father sitting near his Guru’s photo during the Kirtan programs where a professional Kirtan maker used to deliver the Kirtan. At times, tears flowed from my father’s
