One clerk working in the Armed Forces of India, then under the British government, with name Mr. P.G. Natu was financially very poor, but he was extremely strong in his spiritual goals. He had made a pilgrimage of Badari Narayana in Himalayas without any possessions (Badari Narayana is considered as one of the seats of Shree Vishnu). He had one small baby son and lived several miles from the Pune city, where the Thursday prayer took place. When his formal guru, Dattananda Maharaj took Samadhi, he asked P.G.Natu to go to Vinayak Kulkarni (my father) for guidance. Mr. Natu used to walk a long distance to attend the Thursday prayer. He was frustrated with the worldly life and he had made a decision to escape to the Himalayas for the spiritual practices. He had also applied for resignation from the employment. When he visited the Thursday prayer in this situation, my father asked him to wait till the prayer was over. After the prayer, my father told him not to escape to the Himalayas. Mr. Natu told my father that he had already resigned from the job. My father told him not to worry about the resignation. It turned out that his resignation was rejected and Mr. Natu stayed with the family. Later he had a second son, he progressed materially and spiritually. He visited my father for at least for 50 years and he also helped me several times during my educational period. His visiting at the time of my arranged marriage meeting is described earlier (cf:His Family). I met Mr. Natu several times during my life including the time after the death of my father. He was always cheered with meeting me and also offered me useful spiritual practice tips in almost each meeting. The grandson of Mr. Natu told me that Mr. Natu remembered his Guru at the time of his passing away. The grandson of Mr. Natu owned a Printing business and most of my books were printed there.[Illustration 19: Mr. Natu]
