to visit U.S.A., Japan, Germany, etc. in the days when such a travel was very rare. He got a valuable knowledge through these visits and later he started his own big business. He helped his younger brother Shrikantto succeed in studies and business. Ram was married to a very pious and devout lady. His sons are well educated and well to do.
Ram had many troubles with his business partner at one time. When he expressed his troubles to my father, my father prayed to Sai Baba to save him. He escaped the troubles. During the old age of my father, the Khaladkar family took full care of him. When Shree Krishnanath Datta Mandir was finally built in a big way, my father became the chief trustee, and Ram the second. Now, Ram is the chief trustee, and he performs the service in the temple on a regular basis. Additionally, Ram Khaladkar helped me several times during my education. Also, he lent me the money to purchase tickets for my first journey to New Zealand. This later opened doors for my further progress. I am extremely grateful to him. He was one of the guests of honor when the book Adhiyoga (Authentic Yoga System of Neel Kulkarni) was published in Pune. [Illustration 20: Ram Khaladkar]
One Mr. Laxman Limaye used to visit the Thursday prayers since 1948. He was extremely poor. He had a very good handwriting. He even worked at the hospital to write the names on the corpses due to his good hand writing. He had a liking for perfumes and making incense sticks. He used to sell his sticks to the attendees of the Thursday Prayers. He pleaded to my father for improvement in his conditions. My father blessed him and he became a very wealthy and successful businessman. He was able to purchase a very huge house with several apartments. Our family lived in one apartment in that building for 50 years. He was very money minded, but at the
