same time a very hardworking and devoted man. I had several encounters with him including friendly ones and quarrels, too. He was very strict in his behavior, but he was very focused on his work. He had a good singing voice as well as acting talents. He became somewhat egotistic due to his financial growth, but he always respected my father as his guru. On one occasion, he went for Banares pilgrimage without my father’s consent and he passed away in the train on his return journey to Pune.
On one of the Thursday prayers during the life of Shree Krishnanatha Maharaj, the attendees of the prayer were waiting for Shree Krisnanatha Maharaj to arrive before they could start the prayer. He arrived a few hours late for some reasons. When asked why he was so late, he told them he was not late and they could check their watches. All the watches showed the correct time for the starting of the prayer. Of course, it was just a fun display of his powers and nothing more. Krishnanatha Maharaj lived a poverty stricken life. He never made a single use of his powers to make money, name and fame. This trend was exactly the same in my father’s life. Though he had several rich devotees, he never used them for his own benefit. In my father’s case, I personally feel that he was somehow extremely skilled in helping others, getting things done, and at the same time stopping himself from getting famous. During my life, the Thursday prayers were held in the house of Mr. Limaye, our landlord. I never missed this prayer during my schooling. On most occasions, he used to make me hold the flame, a part of Arati Prayers. I was next to him and I used to focus in a meditative way during the Prayer. My father used to smile and sometimes softly laugh. I almost felt sure that he knows what events are going to take place in my life. 22:
