1953, at TulasiBaug Shree Rama Temple. 10000 devotees were present. The then Mayor of Pune was present on the occasion. There was a big celebration. My father had accepted this big responsibility after aobtaining consent from Sai Baba. He worshipped these Padukas throughout his life. Later, my mother worshipped them. During my Pune stay, I had a blessed chance of worshipping them on a few occasions. After my mother’s death, I took them to the U.S.A. and worshipped them for 8 years approximately. Later, I donated them to Shirdi Sai Mandir, Chantilly, Virginia. They are now worshipped there and are accessible to all visiting Sai devotees. Receiving of these Padukas was a big milestone in my father’s life, but moreover his worshipping them for 30 years till the end of his life was proof of his total devotion and commitment.
