It’s a free, fun, family event for children,
ages 4-months to 5-years of age. It is
called “Books, Balls, & Blocks” and it is an
interactive event in which children are
screened for communication, behavior,
cognitive, and gross and fine motor skills.
The Developmental Health and Inclusion
staff held the most recent “Books, Balls &
Blocks at Keiser University’s Scare Fair Open House.
Throughout the year, the Family Engagement staff conducts trainings for parents
and family members on subjects, such as “Family Dynamics,” “Learning on the
Go,” and “Guiding Positive Behavior.” The classes are fun, active and a way to
make child development information available to families, caregivers, community
leaders, and policymakers.
The pictures below were taken at a recent “Family Dynamics and Differences”
training that took place at Parks’ Place Daycare and Learning Center.
