 Seventh  edition  of  the  most  famous  book  on  cosmography  of  its  time.  The  work  is
 written in the form of a teaching book, explaining each point by way of definitions; all
 the astronomical, astrological, mathematical knowledge and in general all the scientific
 knowledge of its time are exposed and taught. Divided into four parts, the first deals
 with time, its divisions and the means of appreciating it; the second part talks about
 the heavens, the elements and the planets, with 12 engravings for the signs of the zo-
 diac, and 3 that represent the elemental astronomical system and the earth. The third
 part includes the lunary and the mobile parties from 1554 to 1600, the explanation of
 the eclipses with 2 general plates and 46 small engravings that represent the phases
 of all the eclipses visible in Seville until 1602. The fourth part is a treatise on astrology,
 forecasts, planetary influences, etc. It has a picture that shows a naked man in which
 the veins are marked. The book concludes with a table of the longitudes of 260 cities in
 Europe and America, arrange to the meridian of Seville.
 Title-page reinforced on verso, small restoatin of 2 cms., small marginal traces on nu-
 merous leaves, unaffectiing but rude, upper corner of N4 restored, occasional spots.
