MKB STRATEGIC BRIEF
As we approach a new year, the executive team has worked together to develop a 2019 update to Marsh Furniture Company’s three year strategic plan, originally deployed in 2017. This updated plan, along with its supporting strategic drivers, will enable Marsh to further its competitive relevance and achieve excellent financial results.
As previously described, Marsh participates in the new construction and the repair/remodel market segments of the residential building industry. The goal of attaining a diversified mixture of 70% new construction and 30% remodeling is on track, as we have introduced products and services that better serve the needs of this segment. Market conditions are sound and are projected to grow in 2019 in both new construction and repair & remodel. (Attach copies of visuals used in the last BOD meeting)
In addition, Marsh has taken steps to diversify its product line through three distinct categories: Elements by Marsh, Marsh Cabinets and Exclusives by Marsh. This is a vital step allowing Marsh to appeal to customers with variable needs through product collections tailored to specific market segments. (Attach copy of core brand and extensions)
With a clear vision of where the Company is currently positioned, and where it aspires to be , we remain focused on five Strategic Drivers in support of the three-year plan, to include: Quality & Operational Excellence, Brand Innovation, ERP Implementation, Customer & Product Line Profitability and Vital Workforce. We also remain committed to proficiency in five key areas of the business that customers expect from best-in-class manufacturing partners: ease of doing business, FPIR, strength of offering, excellence in sales & marketing, and competitive lead times and logistical capabilities.
The Marsh team is confident and enthusiastic about the strategy behind our three-year planning effort and the measured, profitable growth we continue to forecast.
