  XVII Sky’s Challenge
“My compliments to the two purveyors of fine cook- ing,” said Sky said, extending a genuine compliment to the ladies.
“I did the meat sauce,” Sienna revealed with a smile.
“If it had been any better, I wouldn’t be able to stand my- self!”
Jennifer stood in the doorway smiling with a newfound pride in her daughter. The pain of her boys not being here to share this returned bringing fresh tears to her eyes. Sky noticed Jennifer’s hand moving toward her eyes to wipe the tears.
“It’s okay, Ma’am,” he said. “It’ll be alright,” and moved toward her.
“I just can’t believe my babies are gone,” she said, going into his arms.
“But Ma’am, your baby’s right here,” Sky added looking at Sienna who had also started to cry.
Jennifer raised her head and Sienna closed in to them form- ing a trinity.
“Unfortunately,” Sky went on, “in this world, there are all kind’s of nasties out there. And it’s my job to keep them from getting to you. Here’s what’s going to happen. I don’t know if anyone else followed you here, but I’m not taking any chances. All the lights in the house are on right now. Shortly, we will go to different rooms and turn them out one by one randomly, so it looks like we are all fast asleep.
