“That’s what I wanted to hear. “I want you to handle a special project for me. As far as I am concerned, you have proven your- self despite the recent past, and I want to give you a project befitting your talents. When this meeting is over, I will give you the details. Wait here for me.”
Tom sat and waited wondering if someone was coming in to kill him or if he was to get it on the next project. His mind went from his new—found friend to Aruba, a place he had always wanted to visit and often thought heaven would be like. Sun- shine, beaches, and smiles. It made him want to chuck the whole situation. It was beginning to look as if he would never get there. The door opened slowly and suddenly interrupting his dream.
“Now Tom, back to you,” said Corin. “While my computer guru is taking care of my bosses, I want you to make a master program that will have it all on a CD-ROM or DVD. My computer man assures me that the master control program can be placed on one. Do you think it’s possible?”
“That depends on how much you want done, Sir.”
“Fair enough. First, I want you to computerize my entire op- eration with no fail-safes in place. Second, I want you to set me up with a network of ten killers male and female. Here is the list and each is a professional that doesn’t miss. I want them on an elaborate payroll scheme, understood?
“Yes, Sir.”
“Third, I want you to make sure that there is only one copy of this software. No backups.”
“I have a question.”
Spit it out.”

“You got it. Sounds like more than you can handle?”
“No. I just wanted to know what happens if someone does
something stupid or wrong.”
