“This is Corin. Let me speak to Tom.” “Yes, Sir. Right away.”
“Yes?” said Tom.
“How’s it going?”
“I need a few more items, but I figure it will be done in an- other two weeks.”
“I need to talk to you so the guard will take you somewhere to meet me in about two hours.”
“Yes, Sir.
Corin ate lunch and drove to the park to meet Tom. When the guard saw Corin’s car pull up to the park, he informed Tom who left the car and walked toward his boss.
“Just walk with me a little ways, Tom.” Have you received the data I sent you?”
“Yes, Sir.”
“How goes the project?”
Tom engaged in a high-level overview giving Corin a synop-
sis of the project and the programs. Corin fought it but could not help smiling. He actually felt good at the innovations Tom had added to the original plan.
“I must say that I am impressed, Tom.” I knew you could do it, but this is beyond the scope of anything I expected. By the way, how did you coordinate the killers?” Tom started into an- other high level overview. He explained how he planned to use a bank to have each killer’s picture taken without their knowledge and how they would receive full instructions on check in times, passwords, payment options, targets and contact parameters in a secure mode with a begin date.
“Sounds like a thorough plan,” Corin noted. “Will you have any problem with the time schedule?
I could use an additional two weeks to complete the job, but I sense you want it earlier,” said Tom.
I would appreciate it if you could make the timetable com- plete in one week. After all, you have surprised me beyond my wildest dreams so far.”
