Born in Parrsboro, NS and passed away on Jul 3, 2020 in Kentville, NS at 86.
Enlisted in 1954 and served in 2 RHC Aldershot, Gagetown, & Germany. In Fort St. Louis was employed in the Battalion Orderly Room. Remustered to Clerk Admin when 2 RHC returned to Gagetown in 1965.
Gerald Philips (Gerry) Steacy
Born in North Vancouver 1932 and passed away in Victoria, Australia on May 19, 2020.
Joined Cdn Scot Regt Apr 1952 & posted to D Coy 2 CHB Aldershot & Korea in Oct 1953. Marksmanship skills
led to being appointed a sniper & was one several errant snipers who strayed into North Korean zone and detained for several days. Remained in 2 RHC in Gagetown 1958 & West Germany 1962. Served intel sect Aldershot and on 2 RHC 1960 Bisley Team. Germany 1965 & rest of career in Gagetown in 2 RHC & Sch of Inf (1969-76). Cyprus 1965- 66. RCR 1970 & retired MWO 1976.

Born in 1936 and passed away on Apr 13, 2020 in Kentville, NS. Graduated Black Watch Depot 1958 and posted to 1 RHC. West Germany 1959, Gagetown 1962, & Cyprus 1967. In 1970 re-badged to 2 RCR.
Robert Leslie Walton
Born in Stellarton, NS on Jun 30, 1934 and passed away on Feb 13, 2020.
Before legal age, with cousin Babe Mason, joined the Canadian Armed Forces. Career soldier & drummer in the BW Pipes & Drums. Appeared on 1967 Ed Sullivan Show (you tube search). Shows him in two closeups swinging tenor drum sticks, the covered mallet ends were crocheted by his wife, Kay.

Joined Black Watch 1956. After the Regular Force, served 35 years with the Reserves with 1 NSH (N) B Coy. Curator of the NS Highlanders Museum at the Lt-Col Daniel J. Murray Armoury in Springhill.

Joined British Army at early age & saw first service in prewar Palestine. Wartime service Palestine & Egypt with
2 BW, a rapid reaction force. Post war served with 1 & 4 BW & BW Depot. Moving to Canada 1957 posted to 1
RHC & RHC Depot. Served in Aldershot, West Germany, Gagetown, & Cyprus. Piper with 1 RHC Pipes & Drums. Schooled young 1 RHC officers in highland dancing. Curator of BW museum. Joined Cadet Instructor List & was CO of Cdn Scot Regt Cadet Corps in the rank of captain.
Donald Arthur (Don) Cyr
Born in New Glasgow, NS on Dec 27, 1937 and passed away on Mar 4, 2020 in Kentville, NS.
Served with 1 RHC Aldershot, West Germany, Gagetown,
& Cyprus before re-badging 2 RCR in 1970. Joined 2nd Highlanders Res, B Coy Glace Bay before enlisting in the
CF with the Black Watch 1955. Served in Germany & Peacekeeping duties abroad. Joined RCR up until retirement in 1980. Served with West Nova Scotia Regiment Reserves Aldershot for several more years.
