2017 COMMUNITY SHOW RULES

           1. Entry of exhibits may be brought to the Catoctin High School
              gymnasium on Thursday, September 7 from 6-9pm and on Friday,
              September 8 from 8:30-11:30am. NO ENTRY FEE.
              NOTE: Reserved parking for exhibitors will be available near gym on
              Thursday night and Friday morning.
           2. Exhibits are solicited from residents of the Emmitsburg Elementary,
              Thurmont Elementary, Thurmont Middle, Sabillasville Elementary,
              Lewistown Elementary and Catoctin High School areas.
           3. ONLY ONE ENTRY PER PERSON TO A CLASS.

           4. All Exhibits must be grown or made by the exhibitor.
           5. All cakes, pies and baked products will become the property of
              the Community Show Committee and will be auctioned off Friday at
              8:15pm in the school auditorium.
           6. No exhibit that has won in former years will eligible for a prize,
              excluding baked products.

           7. Youth Department will include boys and girls ages 11-19.
              Junior Department will include boys and girls ages 10 and under.
              All other Departments are for adults only (ages 19 and over),
             except for Poultry & Livestock and Dairy & Goat
           8. $13,000 in Ribbons and Prize Money will be awarded to the
              first, second, and third place winners in each class.  Participant
              ribbons will be awarded in the junior department.  Honorable
             mention ribbons will be awarded at the judge’s discretion.  A
             Champion and Reserve Champion will be selected from each
             department.  The Grand Champion of each department will be
              given a free dinner ticket to Bollinger’s Restaurant, which will be
              mailed after the Show.
           9. The placings of the judges will be accepted as final.

         10. The Show Committee is not responsible in case of fire,
              theft, or accident.

         11. The Show Committee reserves the right to pass on any
              decision not covered by these rules.
         12. Exhibits must not be removed until 3pm Sunday,
              September 10.  All exhibits must be removed Sunday,
              September 10 from 3-6pm.  If you are unable to pick up
              your entries, please have a family member or friend pick
              them up for you.  Any remaining entries may be picked up Monday,
              September 11 from 9am to noon in the Ag Department in
              the back of the school.
         13. Checks will be mailed to all the winners by November 15, 2017.
              Checks will be void after 60 days from the date of the check.
