         About the Authors
                       Dr. Marisa M. King has been in public education for more than 20 years. She currently serves as the
                       Supervisor of Social Studies, Business and Practical Arts for the Teaneck School District. After earning
                       her principal certification in the NJ EXCEL program, she earned her doctoral degree in Educational
                       Leadership from the College of Saint Elizabeth. Dr. King is an E-Mentor in the leadership program for NJ
                       EXCEL candidates. She is also an adjunct instructor in the doctoral program at the College of Saint of
                       Elizabeth, Morristown NJ.
                       Patricia S. Dent is the Supervisor of Language Arts Literacy and ESL for the Teaneck School District.
                       Prior to becoming a supervisor, Ms. Dent served as a literacy coach at John L. Costley Middle School.
                       Ms. Dent studied English Literature and History at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. She also holds
                       an M.Ed. in Education Leadership, Management and Policy from Seton Hall University and is an Ed.S.
                       candidate at the University of Massachusetts for Reading and Language.
