We first began as “The Geelong Western Swimming Club” on the 7th of December 1882. In 1970, the club changed its name to the “Geelong Swimming Club” and established its headquarters at the “Geelong and District Memorial Swimming Centre” now known as
Kardinia Pool and we still reside there today.
We foster and Promote Involvement, Opportunity, Excellence and Enjoyment and demonstrate this through our actions. We cater for all levels of competitive swimming and aim to provide a healthy fun environment for our swimmers to thrive in the sport of competitive swimming. We provide Club competitions (JP Flynn series), relays each Saturday after training in summer and have plenty of fun activities during the year to foster a great club spirit.
Our Squad values are:
Technique, Effort, Attitude, Commitment and Honesty (TEACH), and these values are reflected in how our squads go about their daily training and competition.
