Sarah Island had to
reappear in at least one of these final works, its significance is huge in terms of the Jane Franklin series.
It was the goal of the overland expedition, but aside from this it has been the site at the centre of a long personal relationship with the whole Franklin Gordon area, which has seeped into much of my work over the last ten years, and will, I should imagine, continue to do so.
