Material and heat treatment

Coyote Spline lugs are forged, not cut from bar stock. Forging allows
for better mechanical properties and consistent quality. All Coyote
Accessories’ spline fasteners are made of 1045 carbon steel and
heat treated. Carbon Steel is an alloy known for its very good
formability, comparatively high strength, and high luster
surface finish. CFN Spline are not heat treated.
