3.4 Mechanical properties of Paddy Residuals Reinforced Composites (PRRC)
Mechanical Testing of Composite Samples. To obtained the mechanical property of rice straw fibres-reinforced Epoxy composites,
samples were prepared for the tensile, impact and flexural test.
3.4.1 Tensile Test
The tensile test determines the behavior of material under uni-axial loads i.e. tensile modulus. The test was conducted using a universal
tensile machine (UE34100 Computer Control Electronic Universal Testing Machine 100kN, China) at a fixed crosshead speed of 1
mm/min in room temperature 25℃.
