4 southern eryri & the coast
FRESH AIR
WITH EVERY STEP
From the peaks of southern Eryri (Snowdonia) to the
sweeping Ceredigion coast, this is a landscape shaped
by nature, language and history. Here, the outdoors is
part of everyday life. Walk mountain ridges, trace the
line of estuaries, or follow woodland trails to the sea.
Eryri is Wales’ largest National Park - a living, working
landscape where the Welsh language is spoken daily,
and the view shifts with the seasons. Rivers rise, forests
turn, and the light across the hills is always changing.
WALES COAST PATH
The Wales Coast Path is one of the best ways to
experience this region. The stretch between Cardigan
and Harlech is particularly varied - linking remote
headlands, sandy beaches and lively towns like
Aberdyfi, Tywyn, Barmouth, Harlech and Porthmadog.
In Ceredigion, circular routes connect the main path to
inland trails, making it easy to explore at your own pace.
Coastal walking here combines sea views with nature
and heritage.
