FEATURED TOWNS
ABERDYFI & TYWYN
Aberdyfi sits where the River Dyfi meets Cardigan Bay
- a lively harbour town with a strong maritime heritage.
Sailing, windsurfing, fishing and boat trips are part of
everyday life, alongside beaches perfect for families.
Nearby Tywyn, where the mountains meet the sea, is a
peaceful coastal town with dramatic backdrops.
DOLGELLAU
At the foot of Cadair Idris, Dolgellau is a former slate and
wool town with more listed buildings than anywhere else
in Wales. Its narrow streets and historic character make it
ideal for wandering. The Mawddach Trail starts here, and
Dinas Mawddwy offers a range of scenic circular walks.
PORTMEIRION & HARLECH
Portmeirion is a one-of-a-kind village, designed by
Sir Clough Williams-Ellis to show that architecture and
nature can exist in harmony. Harlech, nearby, is home to
one of Wales’ most dramatic castles - perched high
above a long stretch of golden beach, with views across
Cardigan Bay.
