What to do.
Book an adventure activity with Black Mountain
Adventure p66 who can help you take to the water with a
canoe trip from Glasbury on Wye to Hay-on-Wye. If you
like your water warmer Riverside International p70 in
Bronllys have a pool and jacuzzi open to the general public.
Take a walk in the Black Mountains or saddle up with
Tregoyd Mountain Riders p73. Choose whether to hire a
bike or an ebike for the day, you can also hire a guide to
help find the choicest routes at Drover Cycles p65.
If your dogs need a run they can roam free at The Whole
Yard p70 - book a session on their website. With so much
livestock in fields and on the hills, this is the safest way to
keep your canine friends happy and safe when they are off
the lead.
Outside the Park but worth the drive are the gorgeous
Elan Valley Lakes p57 and visitor centre. You can see the
reservoirs which provide water for many people’s taps in
the Midlands and in Wales. There are easy to access walks
and bike hire and if you visit when it has been raining you
may get to see the water pouring down the impressive,
Edwardian dam wall.
