National Trails
Introducing three of the National Trails running
through the Brecon Beacons:
Offa’s Dyke Path more or less follows Offa’s Dyke along
the border between Wales and England. It offers some
lovely views. Don’t be surprised if paragliders suddenly
appear at eye level!

The Taff Trail You can walk or cycle the lovely Taff Trail.
This is a 55 mile route from Cardiff to Brecon. If you start
in the National Park, begin at the dam at Talybont
Reservoir, climb up the old tram road towards the central
Beacons, with views across the reservoir.

The Beacons Way A stunning eight day walk along the
spine of the National Park. If you don’t have eight days,
you can still enjoy walking parts of it – you may need take a
bus, or two cars or arrange a lift to shuttle back to the start
as it is linear but worth the effort.
