Skills and Talent Project Programme Application Guidance
Funding
The funding available for the Skills and Talent programme is revenue only. The maximum
grant payable per project is £100,000 over the lifetime of the project. Projects will need
to demonstrate match funding of at least 50% of the total project cost within the funding
package. (Total project costing of £200,000).
However, for projects that deliver on the development of specific skills supporting more
than three City Deal projects and deliver on at least 3 of the 5 programme outputs
consideration will be given to increasing the maximum grant payable – up to a maximum
grant of £175,000. The 50% match funding of the total project cost would remain for any
increased grant. (Total project costing of £350,000).
A Business case can be made for Super Projects that meet the following additional
criteria, consideration will be given to increasing the maximum grant payable – up to a
maximum grant of £250,000. (Total project cost of £500,000)
Level 4 plus as a certified qualification (not simply attendance)
with awarding body agreed.
Identified links to specific city deal projects
Thematic links- digital, construction, manufacturing, health and energy.
Must be integrated into a pathway of knowledge and not stand alone.
Must be endorsed by a minimum of 4 regional employers
and city deal programme leads.
Must be a fundable qualification post the pilot delivery
- funding must be identified before approval.
Impact- a minimum of 200 outcomes achieved during the funded period.
Impact assessment provided of what participants will achieve for their employer.
