In terms of employment, this is the largest sector in the region with well
over 45,000 currently employed and this figure is set to continually rise.

Simply put, H&SC is enormously rewarding. The vast majority of H&SC
professionals are happy in their roles, because their work is meaningful
and impactful and that’s a perk money can’t buy.

funded educational pathways that can provide both high wages and
fulfilling work. Starting out in the H&SC sector isn’t a cul-de-sac, on the
contrary, it is an excellent introduction to a long-term career in the
healthcare industry from which you can progress to higher levels. For
example, many people work as carers before transitioning into nursing or
management roles; some even go to medical school and become
doctors.
