About the course
The Crew Academy and WSET-accredited Level 2 & 3 Award in
Wines course is the perfect guide for beginners, combining
both the taste and theory behind wine turning you into an
expert.
Here you will gain knowledge in grape varieties from around the
world, the regions they grow in and the styles of wine they
produce. Through a combination of taste and theory you’ll explore
the facts that impact the style and quality whilst also learning how
to describe these wines with confidence.
You will also learn all about how environmental factors affect
grape-growing, wine making and maturing options of wines
made from the 8 principle grape varieties, e.g Chardonnay,
Sauvignon Blan and so on.
You will learn about the styles of wines produced from these
grapes as well as key classifications and labelling terminology. A
basic overview of the key categories of spirits and liqueurs will also
