The Black Mountains rise steeply above the market
town of Hay-on-Wye, famous for its second-hand
bookshops and annual Hay Festival. This is the
Brecon Beacons National Park and home to the
world’s 5th International Dark Sky Reserve.
Climbing up the Gospel Pass, alongside the Offa’s Dyke path,
Caemarchog farmhouse is nestled at the foot of the Twmpa
(Lord Hereford’s Knob) and looks out onto Hay Bluff.
