Wardrobes
The wardrobes are from Indonesia and have
an unusual way of opening. The key is
straightforward to open the right-hand side
door. To open the left side there is a pin just
under the middle shelf, which needs to be
pulled out. This then needs to be replaced to
close the wardrobe properly.
Windows
One of the main features of our listed cottages
are the windows which are all original. This does
mean they can easily be opened by children.
Please be very careful and we suggest children
don’t sit in the window alcoves.
Please make sure the windows are all closed
when you leave the cottage each day and at the
end of your stay – especially during the summer
when the swallows are in the courtyard.
Laundry
We hope you don’t need to do much of this
whilst you are enjoying your holiday, but just in
case, the instructions for the washing machine
are at the back of this folder and you’ll find some
washing tablets under the sink.
There is a rotary washing line outside the
cottage, and pegs are in a peg bag either in the
kitchen or the hallway. There is also a drying rack
if you need one in the hallway.
You’ll find an ironing board either under the
stairs, or in the nearest wardrobe to the kitchen
and the iron lives under the kitchen sink. Please
drain the water out of it when you’re done.
Dishwasher
You’ll find a small supply of dishwasher tablets
under the sink. If you’re staying for longer than a
short break you may need to supply some more.
Please use the 65º program at all times.
