Top Secret WW2 Aircraft Crash Site

Walk from the lay-by near English Bicknor along the beautiful River Wye to a stone commemorating an aircraft crash site in 1942.
Sit and hear the story of the incident and its huge impact on the allies’ war effort. A number of other significant landmarks along the route are also discussed. Mostly off road.

Railway Ramble to Rowden

Enjoy Edwyn Ralph church before striking out for Rowden. Rowden has a lovingly restored station on the old Bromyard - Leominster railway. Head off through Wacton close to the old railway and cross the Bromyard plateau to another wonderfully restored station at Fencote. Return along one of the finest sections of the Herefordshire Trail.
