So nice to have met both of you on November 2nd.
For the two systems we discussed (meeting room & gymnasium) I have attached here a functional layout, a schematic diagram and component / pricing form for each area. The first system that we looked at was the meeting room area and I have designed a system using technology very similar to Ste. Marie's meeting room as this was a system that Fr. Kerper was impressed with. The system designed here is even more streamlined, as technology has evolved over the years. This meeting area has two zones, front & rear. The front zone will be used for smaller groups. For larger groups, zone 2 (or rear) can be energized which will actuate both sound and video.
I. Meeting Room System:
As you will notice on the schematic diagram and the functional layout, we have digital wall plates that allow selection of;
(1) Component Power on and off. (2) Selection of inputs.
(3) Volume adjust up / down.
These wall plates will be located on the right hand side wall as you enter the main meeting
area. Supporting electronic hardware will be housed in a steel metal enclosure on the same front wall. Further capabilities of the system include wireless tablet and laptop usage to display media on one or both of the LCD screens, wirelessly throughout both areas. Additionally there will also be a DVD player specified for the system and located within the equipment enclosure that will also be available to play content on the screens. We have specified a presentation podium (Optional) incorporating a very sensitive slim line condenser microphone, a tabletop that will accommodate both laptop or tablet and a functional HDMI outlet to interface them with the system. This podium will plug in to a dedicated wall jack specifically used for and labeled podium. As you will note this jack and two others, will be centrally located under the LCD screen at the front of the
room. These two additional jacks will be labeled "microphone" and "laptop" allowing implementation of these devices.
In summary, this meeting room AV system is quite capable and should offer every capability necessary for meetings and special events in these rooms. This system utilizes the best in digital technology and sound reinforcement.
