Ms. Humphries’ practice focuses on public law, with extensive

experience in urban development and special districts. Ms.
Humphries serves as general counsel and bond counsel to

numerous political subdivisions. She negotiates with local, city,
and county government officials regarding land development

and zoning issues and is well-versed in State and local rules
and regulations in those areas.

Education and Professional Background. Phi Kappa Phi. Ms.
Humphries worked as a journalist and television writer in

Australia for three years (focusing on sports) before returning to
the U.S. and beginning her law career. She earned her law degree

from Southern Methodist University (J.D., cum laude, 1982); Order of the Coif; Editor,
Journal of Air Law and Commerce.

Member. State Bar of Texas; Houston Bar Association; Urban Land Institute. In
addition, Ms. Humphries is very active in various Fort Bend charities.

Personal. Lynne and Rod (an Australian from Sydney) have been married since 1976 and

have three grown sons, Scott, Mark and Justin, and two grandsons, Jackson and Sam.
