4. Beware of those who claim the Holy Spirit is a fire
all God’s angels worship him.” In speaking of the angels
he says, “He makes his angels winds, his servants flames
of fire.” What does God make His angels? Is it clear that He
makes His angels winds and flames of fire? This is a quota-
tion from the words of Psalm 104:4, which says, He makes
winds his messengers, flames of fire his servants. Then,
who is the God’s messenger? It is angels, right? It is to say
that God made the angels of power a servant to help the sal-
vation work of God. Then, what is the flame? We call burning
fire as flames. Then, do you still want to insist that the Holy
Spirit is a fire, even though I told you exactly as it is, and
even though the Bible says clear evidence? Is there anyone
among you who wants to insist?
Let’s find a few more. Starting from Isaiah 6:2, the
angels who praise the LORD God Almighty in heaven were
called ‘seraphs’. It says that they are seraphs praising God
in heaven. The meaning of ‘seraph’ is ‘fire’ and ‘burn’ that
came from ‘Seraph’, which means the figure of angels is like
burning fire. Therefore, angels look like a flame of fire when
they act.
The next Exodus 3:1-3 says, Now Moses was tend-
ing the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Mid-
ian, and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and
came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of
the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a
